ABOUT
TRAVIEE (a.k.a. Travis Ying) is a Hong Kong-born, Lisbon-based artist whose practice spans calligraphy, graphic design, stage design, and painting. While rooted in multidisciplinary experience, his current focus is on contemporary painting that fuses visual rhythm with emotional states.
His recent work explores desire, identity, and personal transformation through abstracted Chinese characters, childhood symbols, and intuitive composition. Rather than offer direct messages, his pieces invite quiet reflection—playful on the surface, yet often carrying inner tension and vulnerability.
Using acrylic and mixed media, TRAVIEE builds a vibrant visual language that blends memory, emotion, and cultural fragments. Each painting acts as a gentle mapping of what it means to grow, to flow, and to imagine one’s way forward.
